Implementation of national key research and development achievements: lignin modification technology promotes green upgrading of phenolic foam

Recently, the "lignin and nano silica synergistically enhanced phenolic foam technology" from the forestry... special project of the "13th Five Year Plan" national key research and development plan has achieved a breakthrough in large-scale application. This technology takes forestry by-product lignin as the core raw material and innovatively uses phenol dispersant to prepare nano silica system, successfully solving the industry pain point of insufficient strength of traditional bio based phenolic foam. At present, the demonstration production line has stably produced 2500 cubic meters of modified products, which are all in line with the national standard of Hard Phenolic foam Products for Thermal Insulation through authoritative testing. The first batch of products have been applied to wall insulation projects and achieved sales of 2.05 million yuan. Industry experts pointed out that this technology not only reduced the dependence on petroleum based raw materials, but also promoted the transformation of phenolic foam to low-cost, high-performance green building materials, which is expected to reshape the industrial pattern of thermal insulation materials.
